BIO
Oliver Steinberg is a Vice President at The Retail Connection. He focuses on landlord representation & project leasing, tenant representation, and investment acquisitions, with particular expertise in urban-core and infill retail properties throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
A highly active DFW retail investor himself, Oliver brings a true owner’s perspective to every transaction. When representing landlords, he protects value the same way he does for his own portfolio; when negotiating on behalf of tenants, especially restaurant operators, he understands the landlord’s position because he is one. This rare dual lens consistently gives his clients a decisive advantage in lease negotiations, acquisitions, and getting complicated deals closed.
In just over two years at TRC, Oliver has closed transactions totaling more than $30 million in aggregate consideration. He serves as the exclusive leasing, acquisition, and disposition broker for Eagle Equity, Inc., a Dallas-based retail developer and investor, managing the full lifecycle of their retail portfolio from East Dallas to Downtown Fort Worth.
Oliver is especially passionate about working with restaurant concepts and believes restaurants are the new anchors of both neighborhood centers and urban districts. Among his favorite successes is guiding the expansion of Taqueria El Arquito across DFW – recently named “Best Taqueria in Dallas” by the Dallas Observer.
An active member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and NTCAR (North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors), Oliver remains deeply involved in the industry. Outside of work, he co-founded Our Giving Kitchen (OGK), a Dallas-based nonprofit that brings young professionals and organizations together on a weekly basis to cook and hand-deliver 250+ restaurant-quality meals to homeless organizations and underserved communities in DFW. Additionally, he is helping guide OGK’s national and international expansion – much like advising a corporate franchisor and/or franchisee on its growth strategy! Oliver also serves on the Jewish National Fund-USA Dallas Board.
A Dallas native, proud College of Charleston Cum Laude graduate (B.S. Finance & Commercial Real Estate Finance), and lifelong sports fan, Oliver can usually be found on the golf course, walking his pup, Teddy, around the State Thomas neighborhood, or cheering on the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, and Stars.
