BIO
Mike Garansuay is a Senior Vice President in Brokerage in The Retail Connection’s San Antonio office. Garansuay brings over 15 years of experience in tenant representation and third-party shopping center project leasing.
Prior to joining The Retail Connection, Garansuay served as a broker with UCR in their San Antonio office where he strategically tailored programs to meet his clients’ objectives serving national, regional, and local retailers in tenant representation, market evaluations and research. He continues to conduct numerous transactions for some of the nation’s premiere tenants in retail, quick-serve and full-service restaurants.
Some of his tenant representation clients are Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, Golden Chick, Children’s Lighthouse, Signet Jewelers, Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers, and Freebirds. His more notable project leasing assignments over his career include the 1.2 M SF Forum Shopping Center, the 900K SF Alamo Ranch Shopping Center, and several KIMCO owned Shopping Centers throughout South Texas. Additionally, Garansuay worked as a project manager for Spaw-Maxwell in Austin. His background in construction allows him to help clients analyze opportunities and he then plays an integral role throughout the development process.
He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers [ICSC] as well as an active supporter of Humane Society of San Antonio, SNIPSA, and Habitat for Humanity.
A native of San Antonio, he enjoys woodworking, fishing, and spending as much time as possible outdoors with his wife and two teenage children.
