Jim Ziegler, a seasoned professional, returns to The Retail Connection as a Managing Director in Real Estate Investments. With an impressive track record spanning over 40 years, he has spearheaded the ground-up development or redevelopment of more than 35 shopping centers, showcasing his deep understanding of the industry. These projects have ranged from neighborhood grocery centers to power centers, demonstrating his versatility and breadth of experience.

At PegasusAblon, Jim was responsible for retail, multifamily, and mixed-use investments and development. He led the redevelopment of the Galleria North Shopping Center, repurposing an aging retail center and adding 280 luxury multifamily units.

Prior to joining PegasusAblon, Jim was Senior Vice President and Development Partner for The Retail Connection, Connected Development Services division. He was responsible for identifying, acquiring, and ultimately developing these acquisitions. Notable development while in this position, Ziegler developed the 400,000-square-foot JCPenney/Belk-anchored Weatherford Ridge Shopping Center. Jim enjoyed a 17-year tenure with United Commercial Development as Chief Operating Officer. During this time, he was responsible for the acquisition of over 50 future development sites, along with the purchase, redevelopment, and eventual disposition of 16 retail projects.

After earning his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas, Jim began his real estate career as a financial executive with Dunning Development. Jim had oversight of all accounting, financial, and management duties and handled partner and lender relationships for over 4.5 million square feet of neighborhood shopping centers.
