Hutton Edwards joins The Retail Connection as a Graphic Designer.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. During his time in school, his cousin opened a bar and restaurant in 2012. To help him, he began managing the business’ social accounts and found an unexpected passion for digital marketing. Within a year, he was able to work on his craft and equip himself with graphic design and content creation skills.
From there, he decided to extend his services to other small-to-mid-sized businesses. Over the last seven years, he has helped businesses in a variety of industries (retail, healthcare, real estate, and legal to name a few) with their digital marketing strategies, branding and identity, social content strategies, web, digital and print design.
In 2017, he joined the team at Rio Grande Guardian, an online-only news outlet, as their digital marketing manager. He implemented new branding, as well as extended their efforts into untapped digital marketing channels, growing their social following by over 260% and tripling their website traffic.
He and his wife Perla just got married on June 1st, 2019 and moved to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in September. They enjoy spending most of their time exploring outdoors with their two pups, Lewis and Sadie.
