Alex  Johnson
Alex is a Vice President with The Retail Connection brokerage in the Dallas office. His current focus is landlord representation, retail acquisitions, and tenant
representation for retail and restaurant clients on both local and national scales.

During his tenure at The Retail Connection, Johnson has developed and maintained strong relationships with local developers, private owners, and institutional Landlords, handling over 1.5 million square feet of retail and restaurant leasing assignments stretching across 13 states. His notable assignments include Arlington Highlands,a premier power/lifestyle shopping destination in DFW; Trinity Groves; Alpha-West, a notable redevelopment of the former Sears and Great Indoors buildings adjacent to The Galleria; Berkshire Court in Preston Center; and the Cheney & Mathes | Fountain Capital Walmart portfolio consisting of 22 shadow-anchored shopping centers in 11 states.

He has played an integral role in the expansion of local retailers and restaurants such as Rise, Nekter Juice Bar, Play Street Museum, Fit 180, HobbyTown USA, LFT Personal Training, Rainbow Shops, and many more. Additionally, Johnson works closely with emerging restaurant concepts including Amberjax, Beto &
Son, Cake Bar, Kate Weiser, and LUCK.

Johnson was born and raised in Dallas where he graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas. He went on to earn a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Government
with a minor in Business Foundations from the University of Texas, where he was an active member of the Undergraduate Real Estate Society on campus.

He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers [ICSC], the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors [NTCAR], Young Texans Against Cancer [YTAC], and St. Michael’s & All Angels Church.
